Why Gold Party Pack? Why Now?
We launched Gold Party Pack as a way to extend the Gold Party experience to people outside of our regular service areas, not as a way to compete with other mail-in-your-gold companies of whom you have good reason to be suspicious.
Is the Gold Party Pack free of charge?
Yes! We also cover all shipping costs and insure your Gold Party Pack up to $500.
When can I expect to receive my Gold Party Pack?
You should receive your Gold Party Pack within 3 business days.
How long will my Gold Party last? Because appraisals won't be performed on site, it's entirely up to you!
What do you buy?
Yellow gold, white gold, rose gold and green gold in all karats and conditions (including gold coins). We also buy platinum.
What if I'm not sure if my gold is real?
There's only one way to find out! If we determine an item isn't real, we'll be happy to return it.
How much do you pay?
A lot – and significantly more than you'd receive from your local jeweller. The price is determined by purity (10k, 14k, etc.), weight (10 grams, 100 grams, etc.) and the spot price of gold.
Do you require a minimum or maximum number of guests at my party?
There's no maximum, but we do recommend a minimum of ten friends, family or co-workers at your Gold Party.
Do you have an invitation I can use?
Of course! We'll gladly provide you with our customizable email invitation.
My Gold Party was so much fun! When can my guests and I expect to receive payment?
You should receive payment within 3 business days of sending back your Gold Party Pack.
How will my guests and I know once you've received our gold?
You can track your Gold Party Pack using the FedEx tracking number on the pre-paid waybill provided. We'll also send you an email confirming receipt of your items.
What if I attend a Gold Party, but decide not to sell my gold?
Please note you're under no obligation to sell.
What happens if I'm not satisfied with the amount I've been paid?
Unlike traditional mail-in-your-gold companies, we inform you of the value of your Unwanted Gold Items by email before we send payment. If for any reason you're not completely satisfied, simply say so and your Unwanted Gold Items will be returned at no charge.
Some of my old gold jewellery contains diamonds. Will you return them to me?
Gold Party Canada will determine the value of the stones in your unwanted gold items and make every effort to remove and return Valuable Diamonds, however we don't remove, return or pay for semi-precious stones, cubic zirconium or non-valuable diamonds (i.e. pave diamonds, melee diamonds, diamond chips, etc.).
How much can I make hosting a party?
7% of all gold sales at your Gold Party - including your own. If we buy $5000 worth of gold, that's $350 in your pocket!
I paid $500 for my ring. Can I expect the same from Gold Party Canada?
Retail stores mark up jewellery 5, 10 and even 20 times. Gold Party Canada pays strictly for the gold content of your jewellery. Craftsmanship isn't a consideration when appraising the value of your gold.
There's an 18K hallmark on my necklace. Is this reliable?
Although most countries require manufacturers to stamp the gold content of their jewellery, very few countries (including Canada) enforce these laws or require an independent third party to evaluate the item. The stamp on your jewelry may be correct, but it's quite common for gold jewellery to be fraudulently stamped.
What evaluation methods are used to determine the purity of the gold?
We use the same evaluation methods as we do at all of our Gold Parties: a magnet test, identification of hallmarks and, most importantly, an acid test – the gold standard for the appraisal of precious metals.
